Shot Caller

Turn one iPhone or iPad into a camera and another into its remote. Set the camera down, step into the shot, and take the picture from the device in your hand. Over a shared Wi-Fi network the remote shows a live view of what the camera sees and receives full-resolution copies within seconds; over Bluetooth alone it still controls everything.
- Two roles, one code. Choose Camera on one device and Remote on the other, type the four digits shown on the camera, and you are connected. No account, no setup beyond that.
- Photos and video. Switch modes, cycle the flash, flip between front and back cameras, start a countdown that shows on the camera’s screen, take the picture or start and stop recording.
- Live view. On the same Wi-Fi network the remote shows what the camera sees, a few frames a second, so you can frame the shot from where you stand.
- Copies where you want them. Decide whether the camera keeps a copy and whether the remote receives photos and videos. Over Bluetooth, waiting files download on request.
- Private by design. Everything travels directly between your two devices. Shot Caller has no server, no account, no ads and no analytics, and collects no data.
Shot Caller is free and open source (MPL-2.0). It needs two devices running iOS or iPadOS 18 or later.
